Pow Burn
The Pow Burn is the name of a tributary of the Tyne, which runs through Northumberland park in North Shields. It has played an important part in the development of town. In many respects it is the reason why the town was able to develop and flourish.
That being said, the Pow Burn is now almost hidden from sight, a vanished feature but one with an important story to tell.
